My first map, after a year and a half of learning. Happy late birthday, Grandpa.
Welcome to Memphis, New york, a rural community in central New York with warm summers, Harsh winters, and is known for its agricalture, despite the challenging and unpredictable environment.
In Memphis, you will begin your farming journey with a few fields and some small equipment to help you raise wheat. But, be careful, because the natural springs will cause field 9 to flood in the summer. Halfway back in your field, and just inside the woods, you will find a run-down chicken coop in the woods to help you make some money on the side. If your equpiment breaks down or if you are interested in new equipment, Neil’s shop is located just down the road. Down Whiskey Hollow Road, the springs come to benefit you, by provding you with a year round water source. Traditional crops grown here include wheat, oats, barley, corn, and soybeans. The region produces a lot of dairy products, such as milk and cheese, and maple syrup is also harvested commonly, and with 1/4 of the map being covered with trees, maple syrup and timber would be easy to jump into. The forests create diverse habits for deer, and are perfect for exploration in your free time.
Scattered around the map are a total of 23 fields, some requiring access roads, but with 4.5 miles of rural road to drive down, and even more miles of offroad trails, you can easily access every corner of the map. The offroad trails will allow you to explore the map to its fullest extent.
Farmlands 44 and 32 are left blank for you to customize your own farm and house, respectively, with no decorations in the way. All areas that are purchasable will have snow fall on them, and will need to be plowed of the deep snow. There are some sell points and productions on the map, but I tried to keep it as realistic as possible.
