At the moment the Salt can only be sold, in the future it will have more functions. (Ex: Ham pallets factory, it would be added to the factory: pigs, salt and empty pallets, its production would be ham pallets, but it is currently under construction)
Note: The pure water produced by the Salt factory can be used for animals.
